President’s Message: Danielle L. deMartino, February 2026

Dear Members,

On behalf of the entire Board of Directors, I am delighted to welcome you to the Santa Cruz County Bar Association.

Your participation this year is of the utmost importance. My hope is that we raise the bar for promoting access to justice and ensure leadership affecting our profession. To do so, we need your help.

We kindly ask you to consider becoming an LRS attorney. Our lawyer referral service program places clients with the right type of attorney for their case. This service streamlines what is otherwise a confusing and discouraging system for people who are simply seeking help. This service helps remove roadblocks to getting legal representation. This is promoting access to justice.

We provide educational and social opportunities to our members to strengthen our legal community and our relationships with one another to be more effective advocates. We are particularly looking forward to our annual Spring Fling! Is there an event or MCLE you would like to see in the future?

I am looking forward to a great year for the Bar Association, and to that end, I invite you to share your feedback with me directly.
